Also known as “MidPac” and “MPI”, the Mid Pacific Institute is a private, co-educational institution offering grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. It is located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Established in 1864, MPI is a product of a merger of two schools. The school continues to instill academic excellence among its students through its high-quality educational program. Mid Pacific is currently housing more than a thousand students.
MPI is the only educational institute in Hawaii that has the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, the leading pre-university education program in the world. This program sets international standards and educates the best and the brightest among high school students of the world.
MPI also has a School of the Arts as well to develop the artistic interests and skills of students inclined in the field. It offers training in dancing, music, theater and the visual arts.
Civic responsibility is another feature that MPI uniquely promotes by integrating it in the education program. Students undertake community service before graduation. There are other various activities that enjoin students to understand the value of helping others.
Tuition for all levels is pegged at $16,000. MPI offers a limited amount of financial aid as well to deserving students after an evaluation process. Exceptional students in academic, athletics, and the arts are also provided with scholarships.
