A private school, Maryknoll is the only co-educational Catholic school that offers grades pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 in Hawaii. Situated in the island of O’ahu, the school is being run by the Diocese of Honolulu and the Maryknoll Society and is part of the Sacred Heart Church.

Established in 1927, it has almost 1,400 students enrolled in the school’s two campuses. More than 800 students are enrolled in the Grade School while more than 500 are high school students, with over a hundred classroom teachers.

Maryknoll School provides an education that will prepare its students to become good graduates by contributing to society. It gives emphasis not only on academic excellence but also on moral excellence.

Maryknoll’s available support services are libraries and a computer center, snack bar, guidance and counseling, health room, campus ministry, and a student/foreign exchange program for high school.

Application process is accepted in all grade levels with major entry points for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Grade 6, and Grade 9. All applicants have to undergo a competitive process before final admission.

While many of its students are Catholic, students of all faiths are accepted to the school. There is also a no-discrimination policy in terms of sex, race, ethnicity, age, socio-economic status or religious affiliation.
