Kaimuki High School Is a four year public high school located in Kaimuki Avanue in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is the home school of US Representative Mazie Hirono and the location of the famous sculpture Pueo (owl) by by Charles W. Watson.
The Kaimuki High School was opened in September 1943 but before that, it was originally Kaimuki Intermediate High School located in the Mc Kinley Annex. Many of the students from Kaimuku High are from the feeder schools of Jarrett Intermediate and Washington Intermediate. The high school is porud to have an average of around 1500 students yearly.
Kaimuki High School, as represented by their bulldog mascot, is considered a school which produces graduates who are lifelong learners and responsible citizens and contributors in society. The school’s mission reflects Kamuki High’s environment that inspires, challenges, and equip the students to a long journey or learning and service to the society.
Kaimuki High also has a unique PCNS or the Parent Community NBetworking Center which aims to develop a sense of community within the school, the neighborhood, the home, and the classroom for a maximum growth and performance of all students. The PCNC also serve as a support group for students and faculty.
