Kailua Intermediate School is a 7th and 8th grade co educational school located on the Windward side of the Oahu island. It is on South Kainalu Drive in the Honolulu County. The intermediate school aims to provide excellent education for each of its students by allowing them to dream and achieve high. The school encourages the students to be open to many kinds of opportunities which all prepare them for their lives after high school.
Kailua Intermediate School is a public school which is an educational haven for its almost 800 students. Registration in Kailua Intermediate School requires the student to live within the district with their parents or guardian. Those students who are outside the district must first apply for a Geographical Exemption permit to be able to enlist in the school. Kailua Intermediate School follows academic programs as outlined by the Department of Education.
Kailua School is designated as a SAT Honor Roll School. Also, the Kailua Intermediate School students scored above the average score in both mathematics and reading in the 2004 Stanford Achievement Test. These awards and recognition prove that the products of Kailua Intermediate School are trained and developed as achievers in their chosen fields.
