Kailua High School is a public high school located in Ulumanu Drive Kailua, Hawaii. Currently, it is home to more than 900 students coming from different parts of Hawaii. The Kailua High School was first established in 1955 at the site of Kailua Intermediate School. It was in 1962 that the Kailua High School was transferred to its present location in Ulumanu Drive. Kailua High is one of the four schools that serve the eastern side of Oahu.
The school aims to develop graduates who would become resilient citizens who can contribute to their society. The Kailua High School empowers the students to be community contributors, critical and complex thinkers, self directed learners, quality producers, effective communicator, and effective and ethical users of technology.
The school encourages all its students to be active members and excel not only in academics but also in athletics and clubs as well. Kailua High believes that students should be well rounded individuals as reflected in the activities and programs they join. The school campus is numerous school classroom building, a gym, tennis courts, locker room areas, café, a horticulture area, health building, shop buildings, a courtyard, a football field, a baseball field, and even student and teacher parking.
