Haha’ione Elementary School is a public PK-6 school with focus on science and technology. It has a student population of about 440 children. It has a faculty of more than 25 full time teachers. The 17 to 3 student teacher ratio is still considered a small and close-knit classroom setup which makes learning more special and personalized. Haha’ione Elementary School is open to children from kindergarten until the 5th grade. They also have a special education department with a total of more than twenty faculty members. The school’s theme colors are blue and green as it symbolizes the sky and the sea as shown on the school logo and emblem. The school mascot is the hawk as the hawk symbolizes Hahai’ione’s goal to make their students aim high and achieve high goals. The elementary school campus is located on the southeast side of the Oahu island, particularly on Honolulu of the Hawai’I kai.
Haha’ione also has its own PTSA or Parent Teachers School Association to let the children’s parents be active members of school activities and the general education of their children. Haha’ione believes that parents together with the school community play a big role in the development of their children’s knowledge and skills.
