Ahuimanu Elementary School is a public elementary school located in Hui Aeko Place, Kaneohe, Hawaii. The school’s mission is to create opportunities and open doors for its young students by using the method of cooperative learning. The students of Ahuimanu Elementary School are encouraged to grow in an environment that is open to challenges and high achievements. The Ahuimanu Elementary School believes that students can become complex thinkers, self-directed learners, community contributors, collaborative workers, and effective communicators. These traits are developed early in the young elementary students of Ahuimanu. Another factor to student development is the role of parents. Monthly, parents and teachers hold a regular meeting so the parents can have a direct role in their children’s education. Activities of students together with parents and school faculty are also encouraged for a holistic growing and learning environment. Osawa Elementary School is the sister school of Ahuimanu Elementary School.
