Mariners Ridge is a subdivision of 429 homes located high atop the ridge of the Koolau mountains that overlook the Hahaione Valley. The ridge offers tourists some of the best views in the world, in addition to some hard but, rewarding hikes. Once atop the ridge, you have a 180 degree view of the marina, Koko Head and Koko Crater, with the ocean in the background.
The houses in this neighborhood were built in the 1970s, but most have since been remodeled and renovated to reflect current housing trends. The size of the homes vary greatly, but the average sized home in the neighborhood is 2200 square feet. Most of the homes in the area are two story, although you will find the occasional rambler style home or even more rare, a three story home.Past market info: In 2007 sixteen homes were sold from this neighborhood. Of those sixteen, the cheapest home sold for $794,000, while the most expensive sold for $1,188,400. In 2008, five homes were sold with prices ranging from $871,000 to 1 million dollars. The homes that were sold in 2009 had a slightly lower price point than those that were sold in the previous years.
